Moral Objections to the Bible

Though Numbers 31:13-18 is undoubtedly a difficult text, especially from the vantage point of our twenty-first century western culture, the text becomes, upon closer inspection, significantly less problematic than it appears at first impression.

Because the people would not choose God’s statutes of life, God then gave them over to their idols’ statutes of death. He did so in order that they might know that He is the Lord and He will righteously judge those who reject His commandments which give life.
